Dr Dilip Kedarnath Kothawade Bagged 142 time Blood Donation, Only Journalist in the world, who complete the Blood Donation Century

Centenary blood donor and journalist Dr. Dilip Kothawade, whose birthplace is Satana in Nashik district and whose workplace is Nashik, started his entire blood donation from his 18th birthday in 1988 and completed a century of blood donation in 2014.

Dr. Dilip Kothawade, who has received more than 150 awards in the 34 years from 1990 to 2024, is the only journalist in the world to complete a century of entire blood donation.

While doing his own business and journalism, he feels that he owes something to the society around him, providing blood to needy patients, organizing blood donation camps from time to time for casual reasons, making continuous efforts to remove misconceptions about blood donation, getting help from capable people in the society for orphaned boys/girls, destitute elderly, and disabled, providing help to disaster victims during natural disasters, creating awareness in tribal areas to understand the importance of blood donation, and not only this, but also arranging food and water for birds, animals, and wildlife. 

Dr. Dilip Kothawade, who has done various works, has donated whole blood 142 times till date and has not given platelets even once, which is why Dr. Kothawade's blood donation is considered special. That is why journalist Dr. Dilip Kothawade's blood donation century has been recorded as the only journalist in the world to donate a whole blood century in the Maharashtra Book of Records, India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, Bravo Book of World Records.

Dr. Dilip Kothawade has been selected among the 101 inspiring personalities of the world in the year 2021. Apart from this, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in 2024, he has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Gandhi Peace Foundation of Nepal. It is special that as the year 2024 comes to an end, it is a matter of special joy that Dr. Kothawade's whole blood donation world record has been recorded by the World Book Records.
