Arindam Deb Bagged Literature (Poetry), Education and Social Work. , Brought up 300 orphans in own capacity and rescued 13 teenage girls from getting trafficked and trained them to be settled on their own.

Arindam's Educational Qualifications 

1. Was a National Scholar in Merit List of the State School Final Examination (1982)
2. High School Senior Secondary First Class Graduate in Science from South Point High School  (1984) one of the elite schools in India.
3. Honours Graduation in Chemistry from St.Xavier's College, Calcutta in 1987

During that time worked with orphans in his individual capacity and won the  affection of Mother Teresa.

Also was influenced hugely by the European, specially German and Belgian Missionaries like Rev.Fr.Beckers, Rev.Fr.Huart,Rev.Fr. Goreaux, Fr.Waivrel, Fr.Forsho and even an octogenarian Fr.Verstrathen  and reputed linguistic scholar Fr.Paul Deutienne.

In Workshops on Elocution  and Dramatics at St.Xavier's College and other Institutions under University of Calcutta , came in touch with eminent personalities then in Kolkata like Shambhu Mitra, Biplabketan Chakrabarty, Ramaprosad Bonik, Salil Chowdhury, Sunil Gangopadhyay and even thespians  Shafdar Hashmi,Girish Karnaad  and Usha Ganguly. 

Had immense talent and a natural flair for music too. 

He was a popular stage actor and was well known for his stage theatres in festivals around his state.The wit,pun and satire in his plays could compete the world theatre, but destiny diverted him from his passions.

He got a break in films but his music and stage theatre and acting career was abruptly halted due to objections from his home which he had to comply to.

All along, whatever he earned he sponsored a substantial number of orphans, thirty of whom are in medical practice today with overall training for entrance exams as well as all the parts in MBBS exams, with fees and books - quite nominal, at that time in Govt .Medical  Colleges .

Incidentally four of them were daughters from red light areas of Indian Metro Cities, who are hugely respected in their medical  professions today.

4. Passed the Bachelor of Education Examination also from St.Xavier's and professionally entered the phase of his career as a teacher.

There also he excelled and won The Best Student Award  for the B.Ed Batch of 2000, ushering in the new millennium with grand success.

5. To respect labour, worked as a helper to a bus conductor in his City of Joy, a hotel waiter and even in a cigarette factory as a daily basis  labourer, all well enveloped from eyes of his father, who never wanted to see his son to toil.
6. Was an Assistant  Chemist in a mosquito repellant factory
7. Was a Commercial Supervisor, Share Department Ombudsman, A Personnel and Administration Assistant in VPs office and a Front Officie Assitant and even a Letter/ Courier  Despatch Clark in different  MNCs.
8. Was appointed as teacher in five different schools from 1998 till 2003 before getting a permanent job as an Assistant Teacher of Science and Mathematics in St.Mary's School, Ripon Street, Kolkata, the Church associated with which, had Mother Teresa as a Parishioner. 
9. Was a Resource  Person for Chemistry of a popular  educational publisher of pan Indian repute and also being a Resource  Person, conducted workshops for teachers, students and parents in different zones in India. 

He also revised a set of Living Science series text books for Indian Middle  Schools , still widely followed by the ICSE board.

10. Even co authored a help book on Chemistry for Class  10 ICSE, which is widely circulated for its examination friendly contents.
11. Was a leading examiner for Chemistry for ICSE Council exam and even was elevated to post of Examiner Coordinator. 
12. One of his foster sons, 

Dr.Irfan Ali, has been featured on Everychild Lifeline magazine in April issue who could become a doctor, just for him though Irfaan was both brilliant as well as diligent. 

13. Has a natural flair for writing and can write on any subject and topic as and when the situation demands.His migty pen roars in protest, which many evil people are afraid of.
14. Presently associated with Indo Universe Voice of Poetry along with EVERYCHILD LIFELINE FOUNDATION  and is quite happy as a content writer and a social worker. 
15. Won innumerable local awards for poetry and is a great teacher teaching Science through Rhymes making learning truly fun for school goers.
16. Arindam Deb's best achievement probably was when his name was incorporated in ENCYCLOPEDIA OF WORLD CULTURAL LEADERS - Volume 1 published from Mexico in June 2024,  where over 600 poets, litterateurs, artists, historians, performing artists have found places from all over the world. In this honour, he was awarded BHARAT GAURAV or PRIDE OF BHARAT trophy on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Republic Day in India through a franchisee of G.O.I. 

He is an amiable, approachable and truly benevolent gentleman who is still teaching, with an idea of reaching out to educate underprivileged children though he is now financially down and his health is not in cooperation with his intentions. 

Let us see, how he copes with hardships strewn on his path at the fag end of his career and life, which he had unthinkingly dedicated to service of children, the world over
