Jatinder Soni Bagged Patron, Red Cross Society of Punjab

To get any work clone, especially the work about which we do not have enough knowledge requires a lot of dedication. Before writing all my achievements, it is indeed to give an example of such dedication. In year 1990, I donated blood for the first time in my life at Military Hospital, Jalandhar. In those days people have no awareness regarding Blood Donation, and I asked my tenant to give blood for my ailing father but he refused to do the same as he felt that it will make him weak. However on my persuasion and humble request he donated blood for my father and by the grace of God my father was operated upon.

Thereafter 1 made up my mind that I will donate Blood as and when required by any person. In 1990, I made a commitment to myself that I will donate blood to needy people as and when required. On 13-06-1998, Lions Club International, 321-D, Jalandhar organized a Blood Donation Camp at Lions Club, Jalandhar, I, alongwith Mohinder Singh Oberoi who was the co-organizer of the Blood Donation Camp collected 23 units of Blood, Out of which, 17 units were donated by me, my family, friends and close relatives.

I was serving under the kind control of Sh. Nirbhow Singh Gill, Ld. District and Sessions Judge, Jalandhar as Reader Grade I, and now attached to the court of Sh. Krishan Kant Jain, Ld. Addl. District And Sessions Judge, Jalandhar. In my Department I am known as Blood Man/Blood King/Chalta Firta Blood Bank. I have inspired approximately 85+Advocates, 80+Clerks attached to Advocates and approximately 100+ colleagues who donated Blood in and around Jalandhar City. 

I also got an opportunity to persuade S. Gurmeet Singh Tiwana, the then Addl. Civil Judge, (SD)-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jalandhar to donate Blood for five times and Sh. Raj Pal, the then Addl. Civil Judge, (SD)-cum Chief Judicial Magistrate to donate blood for Three times in different Blood Donation camps organized at Jalandhar City.

From 1990 till today I have Donated Blood/SDP 168 times. After seeing my dedication my wife (Monika Rani Soni) also started to donate Blood and has donated blood Five times till date (i.e. 23/06/2019 Last Donation). My whole family and relatives donate blood regularly after Ninety days and In my family my two brothers and sister-in-Law, two sisters and brother-in-law, nephews niece are regular blood donors. We, with the grace of our Guruji Maharaj/Almighty God collected 2500/3000 units of blood and other components in a every calendar year.

On 14/06/2018 we with cooperation of Youth Blood Donors of Kathmandu, Nepal and collected total No. 100 Units of Blood, On that Blood Donation Camp Me, My wife Monica Rani Soni, My the then worthy president Mr. Vardan Chadha, The Blood Association (Regd.), Jalandhar donated blood and other 58 units were donated by Indian donors, and 39 units was donated by local community of Kathmandu (Nepal).

I am eternally grateful to my wife, Mrs. Monica Rani Soni and my entire family who supported me for donating blood and motivating others for blood donation. I also extend special thanks to my Mother Mrs. Brij Bala Soni, Father Sh. Surinder Paul Soni, my Maternal uncle Major Amrit Lal Loomba ji, my both Son’s Hridayesh Soni and Jayesh Soni, (My Both Son’s are Life Member, Red Cross Society and Social worker), my Officers, Official staff, Advocates, as well as District Bar Clerk Association, (Regd.) Jalandhar and entire team other Blood Associations /Coordinator’s of India and The Blood Association's (Regd.) Jalandhar.

I have around Seven thousand Voluntary Blood Donors in Jalandhar 2500 Donors across India and near about 150 Blood Associations/Coordinator’s of India and which is quite a big achievement for me. I also try to help people in need of blood in any District of Punjab and throughout India with the support of my dedicated donors.

I have been awarded Patron of Red Crosss Society, Punjab, by Hon’ble Mr. Vee Pee Singh Badnore, the then Governor of Punjab at Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh 0n 03-03-2020, and also awarded by Hon’ble Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit, Governor of Punjab at Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh with merit certificate for 2020-2021 for Social service’s boby Red Cross Society, National Head Quarter, New Delhi on 24-06-2022 and Hon’ble Mrs. Daya Choudhary, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh the

then Inspecting Judge of Jalandhar Session’s Division on 09-01-2021, for organizing Blood Donation Camp at Judicial Court’s Complex, Jalandhar with the directions of Smt. Rupinderjit Chahal, the then learned District and Session’s Judge, Jalandhar and thereafter Three more Blood Camp’s were organized in Judicial Court’s Complex, Jalandhar with the directions of Sh. Nirbhow Singh Gill, learned District and Session’s Judge, Jalandhar for Thallessimia Children’s.

I am Patron of The Blood Associations (Regd.) Jalandhar, Now Project Director for lionistic year 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2022-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022- 2023, Donation Committee, Lions Club, Jalandhar, Coordinator for lionistic year 2018-2019, Blood Donation Committee, Lions Club, District 321-D, Executive Member, Helping Hands, (Regd.), Jalandhar, Patron, Jai Shanker Blood Sewa Society, Jalandhar, Executive Member of Punjab Blood Donors Association, Punjab, Executive Member, Punjab Blood Donors Organization, Punjab. Also, I am serving various Societies and Organizations engrossed in blood donations.

I was awarded Certificate of merit by Hon'ble Mr. Kay Pee Singh Ji, Minister of Punjab Government & Respected Rana Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma Ji, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar on 26th January, 2018 at Shri Guru Gobind Singh Stadium for Blood Donation, Real Life Hero Award, 2018 at Burla, Sambhalpur, Orrissa, Youth Icon Award, 2018 at New Delhi, Bharat Shri Award, 2018 at New Delhi, Youth Icon Award, 2018 at Gurugram, Ekam Nyas Award, at Ambala and National Pride Book of records, 2019 at Gurugram, I also awarded State Level by Sh. Balbir Singh, the then Health Minister of Punjab Govt. at Barnala on 01/10/2018, and also awarded State Level by Sh. Balbir Singh, the then Health Minister of Punjab Govt. at Chandigarh on 01/10/2019, and also State Level awarded by Sh. Om Parkash Soni, the then Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Health Minister of Punjab Govt. at Amritsar on 01/10/2021, and also awarded State Level by Dr. Balbir Singh, Health Minister of Punjab Govt. at Patiala on 01/10/2023, and also awarded State Level by Dr. Balbir Singh, Health Minister of Punjab Govt. at Patiala on 10/10/2024 alongwith Sh. Varinder Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary, Health Department, (Punjab), Dr. Bobby Gulati Addl.

Project Director, PSASC, Health Department, (Punjab), Dr. Sunita Rani Joint Director, PSASC, Sh. Surinder Singh, Addl. Director, PSASC, Health Department, (Punjab), Along with blood donation, I also pay fees and donate Books, Stationery Items and other education material to 11 Girls. Also, I provide medical help to need patient by way of providing medicines and paying their medical bills. I, along with my colleagues Children who are thalassemia patients and help them for blood, medicines and other needs.
