Sunil Kapse was born on 16 Oct. 1984 in Mumbai, India, to a humble family. His parents, though not artists themselves, encouraged his passion for art from a young age. Sunil's early fascination with colors and shapes led him to spend hours sketching and painting.

He pursued his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, one of India's premier art institutions. During his time at Sir J.J., Sunil honed his skills in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, and printmaking.

After completing his BFA, Sunil went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the same institution. His MFA thesis focused on exploring the intersection of traditional Indian art forms and modern techniques.

Career

Sunil's artistic journey began with his first exhibition at the age of 20. The exhibition, held at a local art gallery in Mumbai, showcased his early works, which were largely influenced by Indian mythology and folk art.
